Miley Cyrus recently spoke out about rumors she's at odds with her mother, Tish Cyrus, while also sharing insight into her relationship with her father, Billy Ray.
The "Malibu" songstress cleared up hearsay in a statement shared on her Instagram Story on Saturday (May 10), per Entertainment Weekly.
"I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She's my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn't know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me — simple, coincidental, and uninteresting," the statement read.
The star also commented on her relationship with her father, revealing that they've experienced "challenges over the years" but that family is her priority.
"My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my 30s, [my] family is my priority above all else. I'm at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family."
This is not the first time Cyrus has publicly spoken about her relationship with the "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker. In June 2024, she told David Letterman that her mom was her hero, and that she has "lots of love for her father.
"I mean, honestly, my mom is my hero...My dad had a really rough childhood, and my childhood - I mean, we can go and talk about the hard times or the struggles...But I had food, I had love, I grew up in a big beautiful house, and my dad didn't have that."
