Miami Marlins to celebrate holiday wishes across South Florida Community!

MIAMI MARLINS TO CELEBRATE HOLIDAY WISHES

ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA COMMUNITY

MIAMI– The Miami Marlins and Miami Marlins Foundation look forward to celebrating this holiday season with the South Florida community, bringing food and toys to families in need. The Marlins’ week of holiday wishes caps off year of impact on the local community,with more than 800,000 meals provided, 24,000 bottles of hand cleanser distributed, and 20,000 face coverings donated.

The following schedule of events have been organized in the spirit of the holiday season:

  • Wednesday, December 9:
    • Drive-thru food distribution at Marlins Park
      • More than 500 families will be provided with meal boxes, and in the spirit of the holiday season, the Marlins will also be distributing bat and ball sets to guests. The distribution is open to those in need, and begins at 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 10:
    • Holiday Wishes Celebration with KIPP
      • First grade students from KIPP Sunrise Academy and their families are invited for a drive-thru toy distribution. Each student will receive a toy, bat and ball set, holiday treats and baseball equipment from Marlins outfielders Lewis Brinson and Monte Harrison. Billy The Marlin will also be in attendance, dressed as Santa Billy.
  • Friday, December 11:
    • Holiday Wishes Celebration with CNC in partnership with HairClub
      • With the support of Marlins partner HairClub, a small group of Pre-K students from CNC will participate in activities to celebrate the holidays, ranging from arts and craft to wellness games. Each student will receive a toy, Marlins swag bag, and bat and ball set.
      • Marlins infielder Isan Díaz and alumnus Charles Johnson will be in attendance joined by HairClub volunteers and Billy The Marlin, who will be dressed as Santa Billy.
  • Monday, December 14:
    • Drive-thru food distribution at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium
      • In conjunction with Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and Cardinals Care, the Miami Marlins Foundation is hosting a drive-thru food distribution for 1,000 families from Palm Beach County. Families must receive and present a voucher for redemption of a meal box. The Miami Marlins Foundation partnered with local nonprofit agencies to distribute 1,000 vouchers to local underserved families. The distribution will begin at 3 p.m. and recipients are encouraged to enter by way of the Parkside Drive intersection, off of Donald Ross Road.
  • Wednesday, December 16:
    • CAMACOL Jabas Holiday Gift Basket Drive-thru Distribution
      • The annual event will be held at the Humana Lot at Marlins Park. Cars can begin queuing at 11 a.m., with the distribution of Holiday gift baskets beginning at 1 p.m. Marlins infielder Miguel Rojas will be in attendance.
