Lunchbox’s latest neighborhood stroll sparked a heated debate. His wife recently told him he’s too old to walk around the neighborhood without a shirt.
She’s fine if he’s shirtless in their own yard, but says a grown man, especially a 43-year-old one, shouldn’t just be casually parading down the street without one. It’s not that she’s trying to ruin his comfort. She knows he gets hot. But she says, “Just put on a shirt!” To make matters worse for Lunchbox, his own kids agree. They’ve admitted they’re embarrassed when Dad goes shirtless around the neighborhood, especially when they see other dads walking by fully clothed.
Bobby weighed in, saying shirtless walks are fine if Lunchbox is with his kids, but if he’s walking alone? Shirt on. End of story.
This sparked a bigger conversation on the show: At what point are you “too old” to do certain things?
- Bobby’s wife says he’s too old to cut the sleeves off his shirts. Amy agrees. Eddie disagrees, saying do it until the day you die. Lunchbox is firmly in the “be you” camp.
- Eddie’s wife says he’s too old to say the word “bet” — though “bro” is still fine. He admits he keeps “bet” out of the studio to avoid being roasted, but recently slipped and said it to another dad.
- Amy wonders if she’s too old to say slang like “sick,” “fire,” “low-key,” or “bro.” Bobby says if it doesn’t come out naturally, it hits weird and that’s when you might be too old for it.
The whole thing left the team asking — is age really a factor, or is it all about how confidently you pull something off?
