Amy Wins Second Gracie Award & Accepts With Daughter by Her Side

Amy won her second Gracie Award!

The Gracie Awards are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWM) to recognize outstanding achievements by women in electronic media and related fields. The awards celebrate programming created by, for, and about women, as well as individual contributions to the media industry. In 2014, Amy won her first Gracie award for her work on The Bobby Bones Show. Now this year, Amy won a Gracie for her work on Women Of iHeartCountry. She shared via Instagram that her mom and dad were both there to witness her first Gracie Award win, and this time her daughter was her plus one.

During the show, Amy admitted things didn't go very smooth this second go around. She assumed this second time the awards show would be much like the first time she went, however that wasn't the case. The awards weren't in the same hotel as they were in 2014, but Amy assumed they would be and showed up there. She went to the front desk of the hotel and they couldn't find her registration. She got a little frustrated with the receptionist, but then decided to look at her email. She realized at that moment that not only was she at the wrong hotel, but she also brought an outfit that was not appropriate for Black Tie. So they Ubered to the correct hotel and then they had to go last minute shopping to find dresses that would work for the event.

Besides that, Amy shared it was fun to have her daughter by her side and she loved winning the award.
