Cheapism refreshed its list of every state's most delicious desserts, from thick milkshakes and yummy cakes to classic pies and unique creations. Florida's top pick is the key lime pie from Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shop!
"Key lime pie is known for its sweet and tart flavor. The pie includes a custard of Key lime juice, condensed milk, and eggs on a buttery graham cracker crust. At Kermit’s try it as a slice, frozen, dipped in chocolate, or on a stick," writers remarked. The longtime pie shop also offers strawberry key lime pie, coconut key lime, and the traditional flavor if you want to switch it up.
They also had a runner-up! The second-best dessert in the state is the strawberry shortcake from the Florida Strawberry Festival. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until next year to try this dessert. The 11-day event usually occurs in early March.
