Miami Mayor Reportedly Eying Presidential Run

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is reportedly approaching City Hall staffers about joining a campaign team while steering political contributions to a federal super PAC according to the Miami Herald.

University of South Florida Political Science Professor Dr. Susan MacManus says Suarez can speak to a specific group of GOP voters that other candidates can't, Latinos, who are very important to the Republican base.

MacManus says entering the race now is a challenge with so many others announcing their campaigns, but adds that candidates can't wait too long or they'll fall behind in fund raising and name recognition.
