Hurricane Zeta Approaches Northern Gulf Coast

(Miami, FL) -- Northwest Florida should prepare for a coming storm. The National Hurricane Center expects Tropical Storm Zeta to move up the Gulf today and become a hurricane.

A Storm Surge Warning is in effect from the mouth of the Atchafalaya River to Navarre, in Santa Rosa County, and a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect from the Mississippi-Alabama border to the Walton/Bay County line.

The NHC expects landfall this afternoon between Morgan City, Louisiana and the Mississippi-Alabama border.
